About the Role

This is where you come in. Below, you’ll find what this role is all about—the impact you’ll drive, the challenges you’ll tackle, and what it takes to thrive at Addi. If you’re ready to be part of something big, keep reading.

What’s the mission you’ll drive

Guarantee end-to-end operational excellence by systematically surfacing improvement opportunities and designing automated processes that scale volume faster than cost, while safeguarding day-to-day quality and meeting the highest customer and regulatory standards.

What you will do

  • Map and Fortify Core Processes: Map and document 100% of critical operational processes (ACH, MasterCard, PSE, etc.) within the first 6 months, identifying and presenting high-impact areas for immediate automation or improvement to leadership.

  • Implement a Robust Control Framework: Implement a daily/weekly reconciliation and control framework for all core banking transactions, reducing reconciliation breaks or discrepancies

  • Drive Measurable Efficiency Gains: Automate at least 2 high-volume, manual operational tasks using low-tech tools (e.g., Python scripts, Zapier, Retool) , resulting in a reduction in manual processing time for those specific tasks.

  • Launch an Operational Health Dashboard: Develop and launch a centralized operational monitoring dashboard, tracking at least 5 key performance indicators (KPIs) such as processing time, error rates, and SLAs, providing real-time visibility into operational health for key stakeholders.

  • Enable New Product Launches: Serve as the operational lead for at least one new product or feature launch, delivering a complete "Operational Readiness" plan—including process flows, controls, and documentation—two weeks prior to the target launch date, ensuring a seamless day-one execution.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven expertise with core banking processes or operations

    • 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in a bank operations or fintech operations role, within the Colombian financial system.

    • Demonstrates core banking processes, including ACH compensation/settlement (Integra), card network processes (MasterCard/Visa), and multi-system banking reconciliation.

    • Possesses a deep, practical understanding of core banking operational flows, regulations, and systems within the Colombian financial ecosystem (e.g., ACH, card networks).

    • Deep familiarity/track record in the operation of Bank products/features, such as ACH transfers, PSE, and debit cards, preferable Master Card.

    • Experience leading operations/back-office functions at banks in Colombia.

    • Experience designing and improving new processes from scratch in the context of banks in Colombia.

  • Possesses Impeccable analytical and quantitative mindset

    • The ability to break down complex operational problems into measurable components, using data to find the root cause and validate solutions.

    • Top-tier attention to detail.

    • Ability to "step back" and contextualize analytical outcomes.

    • When faced with a spike in transaction errors, you use SQL and BI tools to dig into the data, identify the root cause (e.g., a specific data entry format), and propose a concrete process fix, not just a surface-level solution.

    • Savvy in querying (SQL) and/or programming languages (python)

    • Experience with business intelligence tools (Databricks, Looker, Imply, PowerBI) and ability to learn quickly

  • Have outstanding Process Design & Automation Mindset

    • Proactively identifies inefficiencies and systematically designs streamlined, scalable, and automated solutions. You think in terms of systems, not just single tasks.

    • Instead of manually reconciling a report each day, you build a Python script or set up an automated workflow that does it in minutes, documents the result, and flags exceptions for review.

    • Demonstrated track record of successfully designing, documenting, and implementing new operational processes from scratch, measurably improving efficiency (e.g., reduced processing time, lower error rates) or strengthening controls.

  • Demonstrates Extreme Ownership & Bias for Action

    • Takes full responsibility for operational outcomes, driving projects to completion with a sense of urgency, even in ambiguous situations.

    • You don't wait for direction; you find a path forward.

    • Track record of trying, failing and learning quickly

    • Ability to "push forward" with limited direction

    • Comfort in managing longer-term deliverables with unexpected near-term priorities
