Altana provides the world’s only dynamic, intelligent map of the global supply chain - the Altana Atlas - using AI and machine learning models to connect with and learn from massive sets of public and private data. Through the Atlas, companies and governments can understand the distant origins of products well beyond their own direct suppliers; discover trading relationships and national security risks deep in their networks; measure labor and environmental impacts; identify related risks and opportunities; ensure effective compliance and enforcement with trade requirements; and collaborate to manage all of it.

We have built a fundamental understanding of how the world’s economy works, and the implications for global resiliency, sustainability and opportunity are enormous. Backed by leading investors and used by the world’s most important organizations (Maersk, US Customs and Border Protection, Boston Scientific, and more), Altana’s mission is to power a new era of globalization organized around trusted supply chain networks.

This is a lofty mission, and our success depends on building a diverse, global team and creating an environment in which they can thrive. We operate in accordance with our values: we focus on value creation, not capture; we foster diversity and embrace difference; we embrace reality; we get things done; we amaze our clients. When you join Altana, you’ll be joining a vibrant, collaborative team working together to solve complex problems with the potential for global societal impact.

The Opportunity at Altana

We're looking for a dedicated Technical Delivery Manager (TDM) who will have the exciting opportunity to collaborate closely with our key customers, deploying our Atlas platform across our Australian government portfolio.

As a power user of the Atlas platform and an expert in Altana’s technology, the Technical Delivery Manager (TDM) will be responsible for managing enterprise-scale customer deployments, gathering user feedback, proposing new use cases, and ultimately ensuring that customers achieve maximum value from the Atlas in support of their critical missions and programmes. The TDM will be as comfortable engaging with technical users of the Atlas as with senior governmental department stakeholders.

As a TDM, you'll be the driving force behind user adoption, product enablement, and value realisation, ensuring overall customer success. You'll be our customers' champion, serving as their day-to-day relationship manager, conducting regular check-ins, and helping their end users consistently translate product insights into operational value. Internally, you’ll articulate recurring customer needs and pain points to the business, wrangle cross-functional engineering and product teams to deliver on planned deliverables for your customer base, and lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to align on account delivery strategies. Additionally, you'll be instrumental in developing growth of product usage, up-selling, and cross-selling expansions. You will own the success of our customer deployments, focusing heavily on value creation and customer outcomes.

You Will

  • Own successful customer deployments and technical work streams from end-to-end, with the ability to effectively manage priorities, deliver on-time, and communicate effectively internally and with customers.
  • Play a foundational role in building Altana’s team and presence in Australia, joining a team that will expand over the next 12 months
  • Partner with other members of the International Government team and Commercial Organisation, implementation engineers and product teams, to understand customer needs, drive the implementation and create user value. This will often involve working on site with customers, as required and depending on the needs of the team, as well as some in-person time with the team in the UK and/or the US.
  • Become a power-user of the Atlas platform, support customers in rapidly achieving value from the solution, and identify new use cases to address customer pain points.
  • Own customer calls and Quarterly Business Reviews, leveraging data-driven insights to astonish our clients while promptly relaying valuable feedback to the appropriate teams.
  • Collaborate with our implementation engineering team to ensure successful delivery, translating business requirements and use cases into actionable data engineering tasks for colleagues.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives to identify and capitalise on expansion opportunities, transforming them into reality.

About You

  • You have customer management and complex technical delivery experience working with Government stakeholders.
  • Your ability to establish positive relationships and influence others is a key asset, complemented by excellent communication and interpersonal skills, balancing approachability with persistence.
  • You can demonstrate a history of successfully leading complex software implementations and programmes to successful outcomes.
  • You are comfortable in the details of everything you have oversight of and feel just as adept at discussing data analysis approaches with colleagues as you do building project plans or speaking to customers.
  • You're open to feedback and thrive on cross-functional collaboration to drive continuous improvements.
  • You exhibit good judgement and a willingness to dive into the nitty-gritty to achieve team objectives.
  • Experience in the supply chain and logistics industry is a plus, although not required.
  • You either currently hold or have eligibility and willingness to obtain Baseline security clearance issued by the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency, or above.

This role is based in Canberra, Australia. The role will be remote initially, but candidates must be within commuting distance from Altana’s planned office space and customer-base within Canberra.
