About Us

AON3D is a venture capital-backed, Montréal-based additive manufacturing hardware, software, and materials company. Our solutions drive innovation for hundreds of businesses in 25+ countries worldwide, ranging from small businesses to multinational Fortune 500 corporations.

Our mission is to create intelligent tools that automate and optimize the additive manufacturing process, enabling anyone to manufacture high performance parts, in any material, with the touch of a button.

About The Role

We’re growing fast and looking for a Technical Documentation Specialist to help us communicate complex technology with precision, clarity, and effectiveness.
As AON3D’s Technical Documentation Specialist, you’ll be the bridge between our engineering teams and the customers who depend on our hardware, software, and materials to deliver mission-critical parts. You’ll create and maintain high-quality documentation that enables users, technicians, and partners to get the most out of our 3D printing systems.
This role combines technical understanding with storytelling — turning complex engineering concepts into actionable, accessible knowledge.

What You Will Do

  • Write, organize, and ensure updates to technical documentation, including:
    • User manuals, quick start guides, and troubleshooting procedures for customers
    • Internal service and maintenance documentation
    • Online help resources, FAQs, and knowledge base articles
    • Technical notifications and service bulletins
  • Responsible for both French and English documentation as well as translations of in-product content.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and support teams to gather information and ensure documentation accuracy
  • Create visuals, diagrams, and exploded views to complement written instructions
  • Manage version control and documentation standards across print and digital platforms
  • Edit and update content based on product revisions and customer feedback
  • Contribute to UX writing, in-product help text, and training materials as needed.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Communication, or related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • 3+ years experience in technical writing or documentation for hardware or industrial products
  • Strong ability to understand mechanical, electrical, and software systems
  • Experience with Github is important
  • Excellent writing and editing skills with attention to accuracy and tone
  • Basic knowledge of 3D printing, manufacturing, or CNC systems preferred
  • Visual communication skills (technical illustration, image editing, CAD export experience is a plus)
  • Strong written skills in both languages required: French and English.
