Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers for 60 miles at speeds of up to 150 mph while producing minimal noise.

What you’ll do:

  • Contribute to the verification and test of Archer’s eVTOL aircraft Flight Control System and its subsystems, such as inceptors, flight control computers, and actuators.
  • Work directly with system architects and engineers to define test plans, verification procedures and review test results.
  • Continuously improve our processes to develop verification procedures, document test results and manage the hardware and software configuration of the labs.
  • Execute test campaigns and develop test reports and dashboards.
  • Support the management of the lab equipment, the organization of the lab, and ensure that the lab is both a safe and enjoyable work environment.
  • Support the development of data acquisition and data visualization tools.
  • Automate the execution of tests, developing test scripts, and contributing to improve our continuous integration and test environment.
  • Write and maintain the documentation for the lab tools and instruments, and general guidelines for the lab users.

What you need:

  • 2+ years of experience in a related field (or 0 years and a Masters degree)
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with requirements based testing, preferably applying ARP4754A, DO-178C, or similar guidelines.
  • Background using Polarion, DOORS or similar requirements management tools.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks
  • Fluent in Python or similar scripting languages
  • Master of all types of lab instruments: oscilloscope, data bus readers etc.
  • Working knowledge of the Internet Protocol: IP configuration, routing etc.
  • Excellent technical writing, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.

Bonus qualifications

  • Experience with continuous integration & test tools like TeamCity or Jenkins, and test automation frameworks.
  • Experience with Agile/SCRUM methodologies.

Location

Archer is headquartered in San Jose, California. On-site work at Archer facilities is required to manage and conduct testing at Archer laboratories. Business trips to inspect or participate in testing at remote locations, including suppliers facilities, is expected to occur on a need basis.

We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $112,320.00-$124,800.00. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
