Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers for 100 miles at speeds of up to 150 mph while producing minimal noise.

Archer is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Integrations and Automation to join our team. In this role, you will lead a global team of integration and automation engineers responsible for high-quality design, delivery, and ownership of enterprise integration platforms like Workato, UIPath and other custom/purpose-built integrations. Your role will primarily focus on building a strategy for an integration architecture that will scale and optimize the technology stack in parallel with the hyper-growth of the organization. You will also become a trusted partner with other parts of the organization and business leadership, working closely together to launch new programs and initiatives based on priorities

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive integration strategy that aligns with the business goals and objectives.
  • Leads the analysis of the current Archer enterprise technology environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommends solutions for improvement
  • Own the long-term vision for the enterprise integration and automation architecture; required technology processes and systems integration. Drive the integration framework and architecture along with flawless execution.
  • Design integration solutions using Workato as a middleware platform that ensure data consistency, security, and performance.
  • 10+ years of experience in leading/managing a team of integration engineers; software design and development; architecting modern heavily utilized, highly available applications; and/or integration platforms.
  • Technologies experience: Workato, UI Path, API/Web Services, Identity and Access Management.
  • Strong understanding of EDI concepts and delivery mechanisms like AS2, VAN, SFTP, HTTPS and other protocols.
  • Broad knowledge and experience in architecture domains, including business, application, data, infrastructure, and security architectures
  • Manage and maintain code repositories on GitHub, ensuring proper version control and collaboration with the development team.
  • Define and enforce architecture governance processes to maintain the integrity of integration solutions.
  • Drive Agile Scrum development methodologies along with agile tool adoption and use.
  • Facilitates the evaluation and selection of software products and services, as well as the design of standard and custom software configurations
  • Provides deliverables like standard definitions, reference models and architecture designs to support architectural governance to assess the impact of new and ongoing technology investment
  • Partners with the program management office (PMO) and vertical track leads to ensure the execution of plans corresponds with what is being promised throughout the project or product lifecycle
  • Establish the necessary executive-level updates to ensure the management team is up-to-speed and aligned on the roadmap and execution progress - steering committees, progress updates, etc.
  • Providing thought leadership in architecting business applications and defining an enterprise-wide integration vision and strategy with functional support. Ensuring that technical decisions support our quality, performance, scalability, reliability, availability, and security goals.
  • Working with the department and cross-functional business stakeholders to maintain a high-impact roadmap that delivers on both short-term and long-term goals. Influencing decision-making through an active partnership with cross-functional teams and stakeholders - manage expectations and escalations. Put processes, policies, systems, and structures in place across systems to ensure scale, security, and reliability. Support the governance process required to ensure the continued integrity of company data.
  • Define and document technical environment and deployment methodologies to enable integrated solutions. Advise IT and other business processes regarding the feasibility of proposed approaches to project solutions in terms of systems capabilities and established technology architecture guidelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
  • 12+ years of experience in an IT enterprise architecture or system analyst role
  • 5+ years’ experience as an Enterprise Architect including in-depth knowledge of system architecture, process and data flow documentation and standards
  • Exposure to multiple, diverse technical configurations, technologies, and processing environments
  • Prior experience creating reusable integration patterns for business-systems such as ERP, CRM, HCM ( Workday) is a must.
  • Strong understanding of REST web services
  • Solid knowledge of Salesforce APIs and Common Data Model
  • Proficiency in data modeling and processing data flows – SQL Queries
  • Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail; excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in GitHub and code versioning or other tools
  • Deep knowledge of core enterprise technology systems, Workato,SQLi or similar middleware platforms, Snowflake DW, Kafka or similar ETL platforms, SQL and Python
  • Thorough understanding in Software development tools with languages such as Terraform, Java, PHP, JavaScript, Groovy, Python is a plus
  • Ability to apply API knowledge to any platform

We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $220,000 - $240,000 Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience
