As a member of our Systems and Speciality Engineering team you will report to the leader of the department. You will act as a multi-disciplinary project engineer and liaison with different departments to help support program execution.

What you’ll do:

  • Maintain and update status weight data within the Bill of Materials (BOM) and work with the mass properties team to prepare and deliver current and projected weight.
  • Assist mass properties SME in estimating, calculating, and verifying mass properties for components, assemblies, and systems.
  • Aid mass properties SME with onsite support during flight test activities
  • Assist in drawing release sign offs for Mass Properties.
  • Manage vehicle performance technical hand -offs between engineering disciplines
  • Prepare and maintain the aircraft technical baseline documentation
  • Assist in preparation of aircraft level Safety of Flight (SOF) activities and documentation
  • Help identify and manage aircraft level program risks and opportunities and drive execution of mitigation plans

What you need:

  • BS Degree in engineering or related field
  • 3+ yrs of experience in developing aerospace systems (civil or military)
  • Power user of PowerPoint/Slides and Excel/Sheets
  • Collaborative mindset
  • Great organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication
  • Passion for learning and problem solving
  • Ability to condense large amounts of data and present conclusions in clear and concise way

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Significant experience presenting data to leadership and executives
  • Experience with risk management
  • Experience using Jira
  • Experience managing and owning risk data for a project
  • Basic understanding of program management
  • Basic understanding of Systems Engineering concepts
  • Experience creating and managing schedules within MS Project
  • Basic understanding of probabilities and statistics
  • Prior experience on aircraft projects with significant software and complex hardware elements

We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $122,880-$153,600. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
