Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.

Job Summary: As COO of Archer’s airline operations in the UAE you will be leading a local team of professionals standing up the operation and growing it while maintaining the highest level of safety and customer satisfaction.

What you’ll do:

  • Build local team of professionals sized to meet Archer’s operational needs and business model
  • Develop multi year budget aligned with Archer’s business plan for UAE
  • Ensure project plans are executed to in a timely manner and all stakeholders are aligned
  • Work closely with key regulatory agencies and in particular the UAE GCAA
  • Excellent communications skills with the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders
  • Begin Archer Midnight commercial operations on time, with the highest level of safety and customer satisfaction.
  • Work closely with the teams at Archer HQ
  • Communicates and verifies compliance of Company philosophies, policies, and procedures
  • Able to travel ~25% of the time with some of it to the USA
  • Be an optimistic, innovative, and results-driven problem solver
  • Acts as a mentor to team and provide guidance on career development, skill enhancement, and Archer’s operational culture
  • Acts as a safety leader, promoting Archer’s safety culture and SMS.
  • Other duties as assigned

What you need:

  • 5+ years of airline operational experience
  • Some of that experience in the UAE
  • Experience working with the GCAA
  • Experience in a global, multinational company
  • Experience building an operation from the ground up

Bonus qualifications:

  • ATP certificate
  • Technicians license
  • Both fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft experience
