Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. What You’ll Do
- Help build aircraft subsystems integration test labs
- Read wiring diagrams, schematics, and have the ability to understand common electrical symbols and components
- Repair and replace aircraft subsystem components in a lab environment
- Maintain lab documentation for lab modifications, repairs and upgrades
- Inspect the work of other technicians to ensure quality and conformity with design specifications
- Assist in troubleshooting subsystems integration issues
- Fabricate and ring-out wiring harnesses for testing / debugging purposes
- Follow proper working techniques for cleanliness, reliability and quality
What You Need
- 2-3 years of experience as an electrical technician in aviation, aerospace or similar industry
- Technical skills and expertise in avionics and aircraft subsystems operation and troubleshooting
- Hands on experience cutting, splicing and crimping wires to fabricate a wide variety of harnesses types
- Extreme attention to detail and high expectations for quality technical work
- Ability to replace various subsystems components
- A safety conscious mindset for ensuring the wellbeing of all working in the labs
Bonus Qualifications
- A&P License
- Inspection Authorization (IA)
- Experience with FAA type certification and conformal test setups
- Familiarity with high voltage systems
For this position, we are targeting a base pay between $90,000 - $115000. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
