What You’ll Do:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team and take ownership of key accounting areas within a complex, fast-paced environment. This role is suited for a technically strong accounting professional who can operate independently, apply sound judgment, and drive high-quality financial reporting.
In this role, you will:
- Own end-to-end accounting for assigned areas, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules for areas such as Leases (ASC 842), Intercompany, Prepaid Expenses, Accruals, Cash, and Payroll.
- Act as the primary owner and subject matter expert for assigned accounting areas, interpreting and applying US GAAP and company policies to complex transactions.
- Lead key aspects of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including preparation and review of financial statements and providing clear and insightful variance explanations.
- Manage and review intercompany reconciliations and eliminations, partnering with global stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and support consolidation activities.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance controls, improve processes, and automate manual workflows, driving scalable and sustainable accounting solutions.
- Ensure strong SOX compliance through execution, documentation, and continuous improvement of internal controls.
- Act as a key point of contact for external auditors, including ownership of PBCs, responding to audit inquiries, and resolving issues efficiently.
- Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Supply Chain, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and SEC Reporting to support accurate and timely internal and external reporting.
- Support and mentor junior team members through knowledge sharing, review of work, and process guidance, as applicable.
What You Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a mix of public accounting (Big 4 or large firm) and corporate accounting experience.
- Hands-on experience with large-scale ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills; ability to work with large data sets and streamline reporting.
- Deep understanding of US GAAP, including experience with technical accounting research.
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
- Proven problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and a high standard for accuracy and quality.
Bonus Qualifications:
- CPA license.
- Working knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and/or Blackline.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace.
- Experience supporting system implementations, process transformations, or accounting policy development.
