Role Description

Regional Clinical Directors are key leaders at Diana Health, serving in a general management capacity. Core to the role is leading the regional clinical organization (3-5 practices). Success requires exceptional leadership, a growth mindset, strong problem solving skills, a positive attitude, sound judgment, and a love for start-up speed and energy.

In this role you will

  • Directly manage and work hand in hand with your region’s Regional Director of Business Operations,, Practice Managers and their teams to ensure workflow optimization, operational excellence, delivery of the Diana Health difference in our client experience, and embodiment of our culture
  • Share best practices and collaborate with other Regional Directors of Clinical Operations and the VP of Clinical Operations
  • Serve as a player-coach, mentoring members of the broader team and supporting professional development of clinical team members
  • Provide clinical expertise and leadership on Labor & Delivery and in the outpatient setting
  • Supervise, coach, mentor, and assume responsibility for promoting the growth and development of the practice’s clinical team; which includes being available after hours as a Resource for troubleshooting obstacles as they arise, as well as providing empathic listening and clinical support as needed.
  • Share accountability for provider and client satisfaction, clinical quality management, and fiscal targets.

Clinic Operations

  • Serve as onsite support for new clinical program development, including new practice openings
  • Ensure consistent implementation of Diana Health programming across the team
  • Work with the Centralized Scheduling Manager in collaboration with the Regional Director to ensure the clinical schedules for all locations are appropriately filled. This includes but is not limited to
    • Oversee staffing changes and communicate changes with clinical team
    • Partner with the local clinical team to ensure that all clinical shifts (call and clinic days) are covered, including providing hands on clinical care on average once weekly across the network.
    • Partner with the Practice Manager and Lead CNM on troubleshooting staffing challenges as they arise

Laborist program management

  • Support the VP of Clinical Operations to set up the program
    • Update unit workflows; communication tools + policies
    • Set up up Community OB relationships and workflows
    • Align on quality goals with the hospital
  • Manage the day to day of the laborist program
    • Determine bottlenecks and areas for improvement and/or training gaps
    • Partner with internal and hospital teams to train team + implement new processes/ policeis
    • Be a resource for clinicians to answer questions as they arise

Continuous Quality Improvement

  • Conducts regular reviews of key quality indicators and identifies opportunities for improvement
  • Works with central quality management team; Practice Medical Director and Lead CNM to define the CQI agenda in each site
    • Partner with the practice’s Medical Director and CNM Lead on supporting CQI projects
    • Work as a liaison with the Hospital leadership for quality improvement and program support

HR/Management

  • Exemplify Diana Health’s culture of caring for others and fostering continuous learning and improvement – and ensure this culture thrives within the practice; nurture interprofessional relations
  • Support onboarding, new hire orientation and ongoing training of new providers to ensure they are to Diana Health’s standard of care including hospital and payor credentialing, training schedule and team integration
  • Provide feedback on the broader practice clinical team to the practice Medical Director for annual clinical performance reviews
  • Support the VP of Clinical Programs for recruiting, retention and staff development
  • Partner with other CNM Leads to drive systematic communication, foster culture, and oversee process improvements as well as quality initiatives
