Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant to join our comprehensive women's health team. The PA will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team including Certified Nurse Midwives, Mental Health Therapists, and Health & Wellness Coaches to provide exceptional, holistic care to women across all life stages.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Care

  • Conduct comprehensive women's health examinations including annual gynecological exams, contraceptive counseling, and preventive care
  • Diagnose and treat common gynecological conditions and women's health issues
  • Perform routine procedures including Pap smears, STI testing, contraceptive device insertion/removal
  • Provide preconception counseling and basic fertility assessments
  • Manage routine prenatal and postpartum care in collaboration with CNMs
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory results

Patient Care & Education

  • Develop individualized treatment plans focusing on patient-centered care
  • Provide comprehensive patient education on women's health topics
  • Counsel patients on lifestyle modifications, preventive care, and health maintenance
  • Support patients through health transitions including menopause management
  • Collaborate with mental health and wellness team members for integrated care approach

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and clinical protocols
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical outcomes tracking
  • Stay current with evidence-based practices in women's health

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with CNMs, physicians and support staff
  • Participate in case consultations and multidisciplinary care planning
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative team environment
  • Mentor and support other clinical team members as appropriate

Required Qualifications

Education & Certification

  • Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • Current state licensure as a Physician Assistant in practice location
  • Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred

Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience preferred (new graduates considered)
  • Experience in women's health, family medicine, or related field preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency with electronic health record systems
  • Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous learning

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with routine gynecological procedures
  • Knowledge of contraceptive methods and family planning
  • Experience with prenatal care and women's health across the lifespan
  • Bilingual abilities (Spanish preferred in select markets)
  • Experience in collaborative care models
