Sale tasks:

  • Diagnose travelers’ demands and budget in order to offer suitable advices to travelers on travel products & service
  • Use sales techniques and knowledge to promote the company products & services
  • Follow up with clients about travel plans and make adjustments as needed, including coordinating with the client’s point of contact as the event approaches
  • Make alternative arrangements if changes arise before or during the trip
  • Maintain minimum margin for each quotation while ensuring competitive fare among competitors
  • Follow up payment of travelers and overdue before the trip starts
  • Provide any and all relevant and useful information, brochures and publications (guides, local customs, maps, regulations, events) to travelers
  • Reach department’s revenue and profit targets
  • Seek for new clients in order to expand the company’s clientele
  • Attend conferences, workshops, business trips and/or other projects as required by department’s manager in order to get updates of the tourism & market trends.

Operation tasks:

  • Organize travels from beginning to end by making services reservation with the local/international vendors
  • Negotiate with vendors to obtain good deals and to maintain targeted margin of each quotation when necessary
  • Work closely with the internal Operation team (if necessary) to book minor local services such as tour guide, meals, local homestay, etc…
  • Reconfirm all services reservation with vendors before the trip starts
  • Handle unforeseen problems and complaints and determine eligibility for money refund in certain cases
  • Work closely with the internal Accounting team each month to input costs & sales figure correctly on the quoting system; to follow monthly statement with business clients and to follow up VAT invoice issuance (when needed)
  • Preserve financial statements and documents.

Customer care and other tasks:

  • Maintain relationships with travelers and key person (business clients)
  • Follow up travelers’ feedback after their trip and report to the team leader (both good and bad feedback).


  • College or Bachelor degree in Hospitality, Travel, Tourism, Business or relevant field
  • Proven minimum 1 year working experience as a Travel Consultant / Sales person in Hospitality Industry (Candidates with personal travel experience/working experience with direct consumers will be more preferred)
  • Proficiency in English (a must); knowledge of additional European languages is an advantage (not compulsory)
  • Exemplary sales skills and customer oriented approach
  • Well versed in various segments of travel is an advantage (Direct inbound/domestic/international, business/holidays, group/individual etc)
  • Ability to present, persuade and communicate effectively
  • Risk management skills. Demonstrable ability to handle crises
  • Good use of Microsoft Office (Excel; Word; Presentation; etc)
  • Interest and/or experience in the travel industry
  • Understanding of sustainability and responsible tourism is a plus.

  • Can work under pressure of sales target and KPIs
