We’re looking for a Senior Managing Producer to guide the visual storytelling of our video journalism across platforms and take our Emmy-nominated graphic design work to the next level.

This player-coach role combines hands-on creative work with team leadership, managing a small in-house group and trusted freelancers.

The ideal candidate has newsroom experience, a collaborative mindset, and a strong sense of visual style, clarity and editorial accuracy. You’ll work on everything from show launches and investigative documentaries, to the more intricate details of how to make zoom interviews look dynamic.

This role is based in our NYC office and requires working from the office three days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Graphics and motion design creation for editorial video across FAST, CTV, YouTube, and social platforms.
  • Manage and mentor a small team of in-house motion designers, and keep a strong roster of freelance contributors.
  • Develop scalable workflows and build toolkits for editors using MOGRTs, templates, and AI tools.
  • Foster a feedback-rich, team-first culture.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years in motion design, including editorial/journalism experience
  • Expertise in After Effects and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Familiarity with Stable Diffusion and other AI-assisted design tools
  • Solid understanding of various AI tools to utilize that will make the motion design process more efficient, while adhering to and respecting editorial standards and brand design standards
  • Strong team player, communicator, and hands-on creative leader

Salary & Benefits:

  • Base salary: $110,000 to $125,000 (dependent on relevant expertise, and industry network). This position is eligible for an annual performance based bonus.
