MongoDB is looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Global RFP function. This is a new role and joins a newly formed team responsible for the completion of all phases of the RFP process for qualified opportunities. We are looking for someone who is driven and passionate, has strong organization skills and can work globally to demanding deadlines and across different time zones. On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for partnering with the various teams who are responsible with responding to RFPs, RFIs, and Security Questionnaires and collaborating with members of these teams (Security, Finance, Legal, Solution Architects, Products, Sales, Deal Strategy and other functions) to ensure content is completed in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Security, Finance, Legal, Solution Architects, Products, Sales, Deal Strategy etc.) to gather proposal content and actively respond to in-depth RFPs, RFIs, and Security Questionnaires.
  • Analyze RFPs, RFIs, and Security Questionnaires to compile content/input from sales, technical teams, and various stakeholders to ensure content is completed in a timely manner.
  • Proofread proposal content for accuracy and conduct quality checks to ensure proposals are error-free and compliant. Interpret and address specific requirements outlined in RFPs and communicate progress regularly and clearly to the relevant stakeholders, ensuring that major issues are escalated and addressed.
  • Coordinate inputs from subject matter experts to create comprehensive responses while managing proposal timelines and deadlines.
  • Identify areas for process improvement within the proposal development lifecycle and implement best practices/lessons learned from previous proposals.
  • Work closely with the RFP Program Manager to assist and drive global best practices to develop and implement proposal review processes.
  • Work closely with the RFP Program Manager and cross-functional teams/subject matter experts for content generation and building/updating a content repository/content library, includes creating and maintaining documentation for RFP processes.
  • Work closely with the RFP Program Manager to identify areas of opportunity for continuous improvement, increased efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4-5 years’ related work experience in RFPs/RFIs, Proposal writing or similar.
  • Preferred experience in a high-functioning sales or sales support organization, SaaS environment in a plus.
  • Experience completing RFIs/RFPs/Security Questionnaires. Possess good working knowledge and understanding of the RFP process.
  • Experience with the content management and automation capabilities of RFP software like RFPIO, Loopio, or similar.
  • Excellent editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with remote and on-site team members.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Work to time constraints while maintaining a high level of attention to detail; prioritizing tasks and setting expectations accordingly, especially under pressure.
  • Highly organized and a self-motivated team player.
  • Must thrive on the excitement and challenge of being on a lean and busy team.
  • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce, etc.) preferred.
