MongoDB is looking for a P2P Operations Manager to support our growing company's needs. This role requires a strategic thinker, but also someone who is prepared to “roll up their sleeves” and be excited to create a brand new position. The role also requires interaction across the organization, globally and someone with strong communication skills both verbally and written. This role will be reporting to the Head of Procure to Pay. Key Responsibilities:

Process Optimization & Continuous Process Improvement:

  • Collaborate with business leaders to provide data-driven recommendations and insights, empowering them to make informed decisions
  • Lead process optimization initiatives within the Procure-to-Pay cycle, focusing on enhancing efficiency and reducing operational costs
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the P2P function, encouraging team members to propose and implement innovative ideas for process enhancement
  • Conduct thorough process reviews, mapping out existing workflows and identifying inefficiencies or bottlenecks
  • Develop and implement process improvement strategies, leveraging industry best practices and innovative solutions to streamline P2P processes
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to standardize and automate processes where feasible, ensuring alignment with industry standards and compliance regulations
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented changes, iterating as necessary to achieve optimal P2P efficiency and effectiveness
  • Drive innovation in P2P processes by exploring emerging technologies, tools, or methodologies that could enhance efficiency, accuracy, and agility
  • Assess and analyze the current end-to-end P2P process, identifying areas for improvement and optimization
  • Develop strategies and initiatives to streamline workflows, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency within the P2P cycle

Documentation:

  • Develop and maintain P2P comprehensive process documentation, ensuring clarity, and consistency
  • Create detailed process documentation that serves as a foundational guide, ensuring operational continuity
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements by maintaining updated process documentation, serving as a critical tool for P2P operations
  • Lead the regular review and updating of process documentation, integrating best practices and innovative solutions into P2P workflows to drive continuous improvement

Data Monitoring & Performance Analytics:

  • Establish data tracking mechanisms to continuously monitor the performance of P2P processes, identifying trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement
  • Develop dashboards and reports using data analytics tools to visualize key metrics and performance indicators, providing actionable insights for informed decision-making
  • Use data-driven insights to identify optimization opportunities, cost-saving measures, and process enhancements within the P2P cycle
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data insights into actionable strategies, driving continuous improvement and informed decision-making
  • Proactively identify emerging trends or potential issues through data analysis, proposing preemptive solutions to maintain process efficiency
  • Regularly audit and validate data integrity, ensuring accuracy and reliability in reporting and analysis

Stakeholder Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Engage with key stakeholders across departments, including procurement, finance, and operational teams, to understand their needs and align P2P strategies with organizational objectives
  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders and the P2P function, ensuring effective communication, gathering feedback, and addressing concerns to facilitate collaborative decision-making
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners, fostering a collaborative environment conducive to achieving mutual goals
  • Present updates, progress reports, and strategic plans to stakeholders, effectively communicating the impact of P2P optimization initiatives on organizational outcomes

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferably within technology-centric organizations
  • Professional Experience:
    • 5 - 8 years of relevant professional experience in P2P optimization, procurement, accounts payable or related roles showcasing progressive responsibilities
    • Proven track record in implementing process improvements and optimizing P2P processes within global organizations with effective change management
    • Experience implementing new technologies to support processes on a global scale

  • Expertise:
    • Strong understanding of end-to-end P2P processes, including procurement, vendor management, accounts payable, and travel and expense management
    • Proficiencies in data analysis, leveraging metrics and key performance indicators to assess P2P performance and identify opportunities for improvement
    • Understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks within P2P

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, and health benefits offerings. $70,000$135,000 USD
