We are the leading modern data platform and the first database provider to IPO in over 20 years. Join our team and be at the forefront of innovation and creativity.

MongoDB is looking for a sharp and eager Product Manager to join our team and take on a key role in our Analytics & Enterprise Tools product organisation. We’re looking for a Product Manager to join our growing engineering capability in Sydney, responsible for driving the future direction of the Atlas Charts product.

Atlas Charts is a modern data visualisation application that works natively with the MongoDB database. Using an intuitive drag & drop chart editor, Charts allows users to easily create compelling visualisations that can be arranged on dashboards and embedded in third-party apps and websites. Charts is a key capability in the MongoDB Atlas cloud platform, fully developed by our team in Sydney.

  • Great communication skills, whether within the team, in a 1:1 customer meeting or at an event
  • Curiosity to ask the right questions, and motivated to find out how to get the answers to ensure you make the best possible decisions
  • A technical background in coding or data visualisation is not required but would be an asset

Position Expectations

  • Work alongside product leaders to drive the future vision of the Atlas Charts product, including setting and meeting business goals and success metrics
  • Use customer insights, competitive research and usage data to identify and prioritise product opportunities
  • Define and communicate a roadmap of features to deliver
  • Manage the backlog of user stories, ensuring they are complete and prioritised correctly
  • Collaborate with engineers and designers as work progresses, and make decisions on product behaviour to unblock the engineering process
  • Participate in key engineering ceremonies including standups, sprint planning and bug triages to act as the voice of the customer to the team
  • Verify whether features have been built to specification and determine when the product is ready to release
