The Role

The Strategic Events Specialist is a key support role within the Strategic Events team, assisting in the execution and coordination and content of MongoDB’s most strategic events. This person will work closely with the global strategic events team, inclusive of Event Content, and specifically the APAC Strategic Events Manager to ensure smooth execution of event logistics, marketing efforts, and operational needs.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. This role requires flexibility to collaborate across time zones and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset to keep events running seamlessly.

We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Singapore for our hybrid working model.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on support for the planning and execution of first-party events, including MongoDB.local programs, and third party events, like tradeshows and conferences
  • Assist with event logistics such as registration, signage, materials preparation, vendor communication, shipping, scheduling, etc
  • Help ensure cross-functional alignment by coordinating with field/strategic marketing, revenue marketing, DevRel, product marketing, and other teams
  • Work closely with the Strategic Event Operations team to support campaign execution, lead flow management, and sponsorship fulfillment
  • Maintain accurate event data, track key metrics, and assist in post-event reporting
  • Help manage event communications, including internal updates, promotional materials, and event messaging
  • Support event managers with budget tracking, invoices, and contract management
  • Assist Event Content team with presentation collection and tracking of session and speaker details, artifacts, and assets.
  • Be adaptable and work across global time zones to support strategic event team members, ensuring smooth execution regardless of location

Qualifications

  • ~3 years of experience in event coordination, event marketing, or a related support role
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Comfortable working independently while being part of a global team
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Slack, and Zoom
  • Willingness to travel (~30%, both within APAC & globally)
  • Based in APAC

Bonus Points

  • Experience in the tech industry or working with B2B events
  • Familiarity with event platforms like Cvent, Splash, and Jifflenow
  • Exposure to marketing automation or CRM tools (Salesforce, Eloqua, etc.)
  • Fluency in a non-English language
