MongoDB is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) to grow our GTM FP&A team. You will be responsible for financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analyzing aspects of key business decisions, go-to-market strategies, resource allocation, and sales compensation. The Senior Analyst is expected to make significant contributions to the success of MongoDB by enabling executives and team leaders to make better decisions and will work closely with them to evaluate, plan, execute, and measure strategic business initiatives.

This position requires an adaptable self-starter who is able to work comfortably and communicate clearly with stakeholders across the organization, progress tasks from start to finish, and enjoys working in a fast-paced, challenging environment. This will be a hybrid in-office/remote role, and we are looking for candidates who plan to be available in our New York City office for approximately two days per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Forecasting: provide support for and coordinate updates to our company forecast model, including detailed bookings, revenue, and commissions forecasts
  • Business Partnering: work closely with Sales Operations and Commissions teams on the development and evaluation of our annual sales compensation plans
  • Evaluating: deliver regular insights of sales productivity and commissions for each sales segment
  • Analyzing: conduct ad-hoc analyses and build financial models to guide leaders towards efficient operating strategies, resource allocation, and investments in growth initiatives
  • Reporting: Assist in the creation of Board materials and executive updates; prepare and maintain monthly and quarterly reporting

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree; finance, business or economics preferred, MBA a plus
  • 3-5 years experience in FP&A, and/or superior analytical, critical thinking, and quantitative skills
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, Google Suite, and Microsoft Excel, financial planning tools (Adaptive and/or Pigment preferred); additionally SQL know-how a plus
  • Ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations
  • Confidence to forge strong relationships with business partners at all levels of the organization; exposure to sales org preferred, commissions experience a plus
  • Drive for results and sense of urgency with capacity to multitask and prioritize
  • Highly organized with rigorous attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. MongoDB’s base salary range for this role in the U.S. is:
$78,000$154,000 USD
