We're looking for a high-energy, detail-oriented, and hands-on individual to join the Revenue Team as a Senior Revenue Analyst, Technical Revenue. This role will be based out of our Austin, Palo Alto, or NYC office and sits at the intersection of Accounting, Deal Desk, Sales, and Legal — analyzing and reviewing complex revenue transactions for MongoDB's consumption-based Atlas offerings to determine appropriate treatment under ASC 606. In this highly-visible role, you'll partner directly with cross-functional teams to shape and influence how MongoDB's most significant and non-standard revenue contracts are structured.

This is a great opportunity to join a strong and fast growing team at a high-growth, data platform company operating at a meaningful scale.

Position Expectations

  • Own monthly revenue close procedures, including detailed review of revenue contracts and preparation of technical accounting memos for complex and non-standard arrangements
  • Partner proactively with cross-functional business partners (Sales, Professional Services, Legal, Deal Desk, etc.) to help structure new and non-standard deals in a manner that is both commercially viable and ASC 606-compliant
  • Collaborate with auditors and internal stakeholders to support revenue-related audits and compliance activities
  • Assist in the creation, refinement, and ongoing maintenance of process and controls documentation around internal controls over revenue accounting
  • Identify opportunities to automate or streamline revenue close and analysis processes

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (CA/CPA a plus) with at least 3+ years of progressive experience in revenue accounting at a Big 4/public accounting firm or high-growth SaaS/consumption-based technology company
  • Working knowledge of ASC 606, including performance obligations, variable consideration, contract modifications and combinations, and principal-vs-agent (gross vs. net) determinations
  • Experience working in a SOX-controlled environment, including hands-on execution and testing of controls
  • Knowledge of ERP/CRM and revenue automation systems (NetSuite, Salesforce; NetSuite Advanced Revenue Management or RevPro experience a plus)
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills required; experience with automation or AI-assisted tools for revenue analysis a plus
  • Team player and effective communicator with all levels of management and cross-functional organizations
  • Comfort operating in an evolving, fast-growth environment with shifting priorities
