About the Role

As a Strategic Engagement Manager within our Product & Technology organization, you will serve as a strategic liaison and the connective tissue between the AMP organization, our high-priority enterprise customers, and our global delivery partners.

This is a non-technical, highly strategic enablement role designed to streamline execution, manage the rhythm of business, and maximize relationship health for AMP initiatives.In this role, you will not carry a commercial or sales quota. Instead, you will act as a dedicated advocate and an internal connector—collaborating directly with Delivery, Sales, and Product leadership to unlock new opportunities, synthesize market insights, and ensure absolute cross-functional accountability across our critical AMP accounts and partnerships.

We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Tysons, VA for our hybrid working model.

Core Responsibilities

  • Help prepare for high-priority customer and partner meetings — crafting thoughtful briefings, coordinating input from internal stakeholders, and ensuring clear follow-up and accountability
  • Join customer and partner meetings acting as an advocate for the customer and a connector between the Delivery, Sales, and Product teams
  • Build a deep understanding of MongoDB’s strategic accounts, identifying patterns, opportunities, and challenges that inform company strategy
  • Proactively monitor customer and partner announcements, market developments, and industry signals to identify moments where MongoDB can re-engage strategically. Surface relevant insights to help initiate timely outreach to executive customer or partner stakeholders
  • Help define consistent reporting of ongoing projects, status and implementation

What Success Looks Like

  • First 30 Days: Foundation & Alignment
    • Deep Product & Account Familiarity: Complete onboarding to deeply understand MongoDB's strategic accounts, partner ecosystem, and internal delivery workflows
    • Relationship Building: Establish strong working relationships with key stakeholders across Sales, Account Executives, Delivery, and Customer Success teams
    • Operational Baseline: Assume responsibility for tracking ongoing projects and start defining a consistent reporting structure for implementation status
  • First 90 Days: Operational Excellence
    • Meeting Readiness: Independently craft comprehensive briefing materials and coordinate internal stakeholder alignment for high-priority customer and partner meetings
    • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Serve as an active connector during client sessions, ensuring clear accountability and swift post-meeting follow-up
    • Market Intelligence: Establish a proactive monitoring cadence for partner announcements and industry signals, successfully identifying new strategic re-engagement windows
  • First Year: Strategic Impact
    • Reference & Partner Enablement: Successfully orchestrate the cross-functional coordination required to advance key strategic accounts into fully referenceable champions
    • Account Acceleration: Directly contribute to revenue and signing milestones by unlocking friction points, identifying patterns, and surfacing actionable insights within strategic accounts
    • Streamlined Reporting: Fully implement and maintain a predictable reporting framework that gives leadership complete visibility into ongoing project health and partner engagement

Role Requirements

  • Experience: 3–5+ years owning strategic programs portfolios with direct accountability and cross-functional initiatives
  • Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving: Ability to structure and synthesize ambiguous information into clear insights and actionable recommendations
  • Customer Orientation: Deep empathy for customer needs and the ability to translate those into business outcomes
  • Executive Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to interact with senior executives and customers with polish and confidence
  • Collaboration & Influence: Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to drive alignment across multiple teams
  • Bias for Action: Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and has a high sense of urgency to get things done
  • Technical & Market Acumen: Proficiency with Salesforce and Tableau for data tracking, combined with an interest in software/AI technology and the ability to leverage Generative AI tools for market research and executive briefings
  • Travel: Travel required to support customer and partner meetings

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package.
