About the Role:

  • We are seeking an entry level, Technical Support Specialist to support the operation of the chemistry lab and maintain maximum operational efficiency in the synthesis and purification of peptides, and oligonucleotide. The successful candidate will have familiarity with laboratory equipment and chemicals, strong organization skills and ability to execute standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform operational tasks to support the synthesis and purification of peptides and oligonucleotides (preparation of building block solutions, chemicals, buffers)

  • Maintain a consistent inventory of lab supplies

What we’re looking for:

  • Ability to work on site in our lab spaces located in the Research Park at Marina Village (Alameda, CA)

  • Must have previous familiarity with research laboratory environment

  • Previous experience with maintaining inventory and ordering supplies highly preferred

  • Nice to have: Previous experience with peptide or oligonucleotide chemistry

  • Motivated and proactive in maintaining the operational efficiency of the lab
