Role Description:
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated self-starter who has a strong and well-rounded HR Generalist or HRBP background to progress their career as an HR Manager. As a trusted advisor to business and functional leaders, this role will guide and take action in all aspects of HR including: Performance Management, HR Policy Development, Compensation, Benefits Administration, Talent Acquisition, Multi-State Compliance, and Full Employee Life Cycle Management.
Candidates must be within driving distance. This is a hybrid role requiring the HR Manager to work from OGB’s Cincinnati office up to 2-3 times per week. In office days may be flexible with paid parking provided. Please note, this position is not eligible for relocation assistance.
Key Responsibilities & Objectives:
- Multi-state payroll(s) and payroll taxes
- Multi-state unemployment, worker’s compensation, and leave management
- Ensure compliance with all employment laws and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels
- Benefits administration including insurance renewals, open enrollment, and annual compliance notices/filings/audits
- Develop and maintain HR policies and employee handbook
- Direct annual performance reviews
- Provide high-level HR expertise, support and coaching to managers on HR policies and processes, people management, and career development
- Lead the recruitment and selection process, including job postings, screening resumes, and conducting interviews
- Conduct compensation analysis and support leadership in workforce planning
- Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances
- Maintain and evaluate HR platforms (HRIS, ATS, LMS, etc.) and employee files
- Position HR as a trusted resource and partner across all levels of the organization, providing guidance and support to employees and managers on HR-related issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum of five (5) years’ progressive HR Generalist or HR Operations experience; or appropriate combination of education and experience.
- Located within driving distance of Cincinnati, OH
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification (desirable but not required)

The salary range for this position is: $90,000 - $115,000. Orange Grove Bio considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary.
