The Team
At Printify, we are working to be the best platform that lets anyone start an eCommerce business with no investment or risk. To get there, we are looking for an exceptionally driven and innovation-obsessed Machine Learning Operations Engineer who can lead in a greenfield AI space and operationalize scalable machine learning products.
Our Machine Learning Team is tasked with shaping and delivering customer-centric machine learning products that help our partners and Printify operations to be more accurate and efficient and generate relevant and high-quality text, images, and videos for our customers.
The Role
As a Machine Learning Operations Engineer, you will have opportunities to build scalable architecture and automate Machine Learning deployment pipelines that use and fine-tune state-of-the-art computer vision and large language models and reduce their time-to-market. Working closely with data scientists, data engineers, and software engineers, you will have the opportunity to build and influence our machine learning workflows.

Your responsibilities:

  • You will own the architectural design and end-to-end management of machine learning workflows.
  • You will implement scalable and reliable solutions for automating feature extraction and training processes, deploying models, monitoring, and logging.
  • You will ensure that the machine learning production is efficient, secure, scalable, and can handle large volumes of requests without impacting performance.
  • You will monitor Machine Learning system health, detect anomalies, resolve issues, and improve resilience.
  • You will ensure that machine learning output can be integrated with other tools and technologies used by the company.
  • You will think big and long-term: identify specific and actionable opportunities to make our deployment process more efficient and scalable and collaborate with engineers and data scientists for future innovation.
  • You will spread Machine Learning culture across the company and transfer your knowledge to engineering and data science colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • You have a proactive approach.
  • You are a Machine Learning Ops engineer expert with 3+ years of experience managing machine learning systems.
  • You have been managing and maintaining complex distributed systems on AWS with the following services: SageMaker, EC2, ECR, CloudWatch, S3, Lambda, and API Gateway.
  • You are also familiar with the Kubernetes ecosystem together with Terraform, Helm, and the Grafana Observability stack.
  • You have expertise in deploying computer vision and conversational/NLP models.
  • You are proficient in Python.
  • You have experience setting up CI/CD pipelines.
  • You can work in a highly collaborative environment with multiple stakeholders.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with the main machine learning frameworks and libraries.
  • A degree in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Mathematics, Machine Learning, or equivalent).
