The role
The Business Continuity Lead/Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive business continuity program to ensure the continuation of critical business operations and to prevent the event of a disruption. The candidate will collaborate with various departments, stakeholders, and vendors to identify potential threats and risks, develop emergency response plans, and ensure business resilience.
Your responsibilities
- Develop and maintain business continuity plans that align with organizational goals and objectives
- Proactively Identify, assess and track potential risks and threats that may impact business operations
- Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to ensure a coordinated response to potential disruptions
- Maintain and regularly update emergency contact lists, procedures, and communication channels
- Lead and coordinate testing and simulation exercises to evaluate the effectiveness of business continuity plans
- Develop and conduct training sessions for employees, suppliers, and vendors on emergency response procedures
- Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure they meet the organization’s business continuity requirements
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices related to business continuity
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field
- Strong project management skills and ability to work independently
- In-depth knowledge of business continuity frameworks, standards, and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated skills in managing tasks, engaging necessary resources, ensuring communication amongst contributing parties and the ability to work independently
- Preferably at least 5 years of experience in business continuity planning, emergency management, or related field
- Preferably professional certification in Business Continuity Management (e.g., CBCP, MBCP, etc.)
