Business Operations Manager - Platform (Hybrid in Riga, Latvia)

We’re not one brand or one type of team. We’re a fast-growing global company made up of many disciplines – all working toward a shared goal: to power great brands, experiences, and people.

About the role:

Our team is at the heart of our success. You’ll be part of a culture where everyone is respected, included, and encouraged to grow. We value continuous learning, uphold a high work ethic, and have fun along the way. Our business keeps growing, so we’re looking for a skilled Business Operations Manager to join our team.

This is a high-impact individual contributor role for someone who wants to own real problems end-to-end, not just advise on them. You’ll sit at the intersection of strategy and execution, working directly with senior leadership to identify what’s broken or underdeveloped across the platform, build the case for change, and drive the work through to implementation and measurable outcomes.

This is not a role for someone who is satisfied once the analysis is done. You will be expected to turn ideas into action plans, drive alignment across teams, manage dependencies, push decisions forward, and ensure critical initiatives are actually delivered.

If you’re the kind of person who gets frustrated watching good insights go unimplemented, this role was designed for you.

Your daily tasks will include:

  • Diagnose and define
Conduct rigorous, multi-angle analyses of platform and operational issues and opportunities – going beyond surface symptoms to understand root causes, strategic implications, and what will be required to execute a fix successfully.

  • Build the business case
Translate findings into clear, evidence-backed recommendations for the Senior Leadership Team, including assumptions, impact estimates, trade-offs, and implementation complexity, so decisions are made with confidence.

  • Drive execution end-to-end
Own the work, not just the recommendation. Turn approved ideas into executable plans with clear scope, milestones, owners, timelines, and success measures. Lead or play a central role in delivery from research and scoping through implementation and rollout.

  • Lead cross-functional delivery
Partner with teams across the company to gather data, surface customer insights, and pressure-test solutions against operational and technical realities. Coordinate across functions to unblock progress, manage dependencies, and escalate risks or trade-offs when needed.

  • Build operating rhythm and accountability
Create the mechanisms that help work move – including workbacks, status reviews, execution tracking, and follow-up processes. Ensure commitments are clear, ownership is visible, and progress is sustained.

  • Measure impact and embed change
Track implementation quality and post-launch outcomes. Assess whether initiatives delivered the intended business or operational results, and drive follow-through until changes are fully embedded.

  • Shape what comes next
Contribute actively to discussions on new and ongoing initiatives, bringing a grounded business perspective that helps the company prioritize effectively and focus on work that can be executed well.

  • Collaborate with leadership
Work closely with the President & Head of Platform and the SLT to identify value-creating opportunities and translate strategic goals into executable plans.

  • Elevate the team
Share your thinking openly, mentor where it’s useful, and contribute to a culture where good ideas are pressure-tested, operationalized, and delivered.

Your qualifications:

  • You have a background in Management Consulting (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain) or Investment Banking/Private Equity.

  • Bonus Point: Previous experience as a Chief of Staff, in Business Operations, in Financial Planning and Analysis, or being a Founder.

  • Operating Experience: You’ve made the jump from advising to doing. Ideally, you have experience in a high-growth startup or a lean, fast-paced organization where you were responsible for execution, not just slide decks.

  • Educational Excellence: A strong academic record in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.

  • The "DRI" (Directly Responsible Individual) Mindset: You have a proven track record of taking a vague, high-level problem and owning it end-to-end. You don't wait for a manual; you build the manual, establish the processes, and eventually hand it over once it’s running smoothly.

  • Commercial & Analytical Rigor: You can dive deep into data to find root causes, but you also possess the commercial intuition to understand how your project impacts the bottom line and the broader platform strategy.

  • Stakeholder Navigation: You are highly skilled at driving execution through influence. You can pressure-test ideas with senior leadership and coordinate across functions (Product, Technology, Sales) to unblock progress.

  • Bias for Action: You get frustrated by "analysis paralysis." You are satisfied only when an insight has been turned into a functioning reality.

  • High-Stakes Decision Maker: You are comfortable forming a view, defending it with evidence, and making calls even when information is imperfect.

  • Generalist Versatility: You are excited by a broad scope. You might spend 6 months fixing a mentorship program and the next 6 months optimizing a supply-side commercial workflow.

A few things worth knowing:

  • This isn’t a support role – you’ll be expected to form views, defend them, and help turn them into action.

  • The scope is deliberately broad; the best people in this role will narrow it over time by identifying where they can create the most leverage.

  • Success in this role depends on your ability to drive execution through influence, structure, and follow-through.

What success looks like:

  • Critical initiatives move faster because you create clarity, momentum, and accountability.

  • Approved ideas do not stall – they are translated into plans and delivered.

  • Cross-functional teams are aligned on owners, milestones, and decision points.

  • Risks and blockers are surfaced early and addressed quickly.

  • Delivered work produces measurable business and operational impact.

What we offer:

  • Monthly salary of €5,000 - €6,500 gross, depending on work experience, education, and skills

  • Opportunity to

  • A global, inclusive team that’s as supportive as it is ambitious and serious about getting things done

  • An opportunity to work in a modern and welcoming office in Riga

  • Flexible working hours (start your day as early as 8 am or as late as 11 AM)

  • Private health insurance

  • 2 extra paid days off to focus on your mental or physical well-being

  • 1 extra paid day off to celebrate a Birthday or any other celebration of your choice

  • Access to mentorship, internal meetups, and hackathons, both on-site and online

  • Free and healthy lunch if you work from the Rīga office

  • Design and order your own merch using our platforms with an employee discount

  • Exciting team-building events and parties you’ll never forget!
