About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on IT Engineer to own and scale Rhino’s internal IT operations. As Rhino’s first dedicated IT hire, you will play a key role in building and scaling the company’s internal IT operations and employee IT experience from the ground up.
This is a high ownership role for someone who is comfortable operating independently, building processes where none exist, and supporting a fast-growing startup environment across Israel and the US. You will be responsible for day-to-day corporate IT operations across endpoint management, employee lifecycle management, SaaS administration, access management, device security, compliance operations, and internal IT support.
This role reports directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and works closely with Security, Operations, and Engineering teams across the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal IT support across the company, providing hands-on troubleshooting for software, hardware, access, endpoint, and network-related issues across Israel and the US.
- Improve operational efficiency by automating repetitive IT tasks and workflows.
- Own employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including laptop provisioning, account setup, access management, and secure deprovisioning.
- Manage Rhino’s corporate IT environment across macOS and Windows devices.
- Administer core IT and security platforms including Google Workspace, Kandji, CrowdStrike, Vanta, and related systems.
- Own endpoint lifecycle management, including inventory tracking, patching, device compliance, maintenance, procurement, and secure disposal.
- Support and maintain office IT infrastructure globally, including networking equipment, meeting room technology, and physical IT-related operations.
- Support SOC 2, ISO 27001 and future compliance initiatives through evidence collection, operational controls, access reviews, and IT process enforcement.
- Maintain accurate IT documentation, asset inventory, operational procedures, and internal knowledge base articles.
- Coordinate hardware logistics, software licensing, vendors, and IT related procurement.
Required Skills
- 5 to 7+ years of hands-on experience in IT engineering or IT operations roles, preferably in startup environments.
- Strong ownership mindset and ability to operate independently as the company’s first dedicated IT hire.
- Strong experience supporting both macOS and Windows environments.
- Experience administering cloud productivity and collaboration platforms such as Google Workspace, Slack, and similar SaaS tools.
- Hands-on experience with MDM, endpoint management, and endpoint security platforms.
- Familiarity with identity and access management concepts and user lifecycle processes.
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Experience working with ticketing or IT service management systems.
- Familiarity with IT controls and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001.
- Proven experience automating IT processes and operational workflows using scripting languages such as Python or Bash, automation tools, or configuration management solutions.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical issues to non-technical employees.
