Prospective candidates are being contacted by these individuals, mainly through telephone calls, emails and correspondences, claiming they are representatives, subsidiaries or under contract with Thyme Care and pretending to represent Thyme Care. The main purpose of these correspondences and announcements is to obtain privileged information from individuals, or to induce people to pay a fee for services related to recruitment or training or a new role.
Thyme Care does not:
- send job offers from free email services like Gmail, Rediff mail, Yahoo mail, Hotmail, Telegram, etc.;
- request payment of any kind from prospective candidates for employment, job application submission, equipment, etc.;
- authorize anyone to either collect money or arrive at any monetary arrangement in return for a job at Thyme Care;
- request or require personal documents like bank account details, tax forms, passport information, social security numbers, or credit card information as part of the recruitment process.

YOUR ROLE
As a Nurse Team Lead, you will be leading one of our frontline teams who serve our members as their advocate and navigator throughout the continuum of care. This role reports into our Director of Member Experience, and in it, you will manage clinical escalations from your team and enable them to best support our members through supportive training, coaching, cross-team collaboration, and quality improvement initiatives. Additionally, you will help improve Thyme Care’s service offerings by communicating feedback from members and providers back to our clinical leadership. In order to hit the ground running, we expect this person to have a proven track record in leadership and mentorship with experience recruiting and leading high performing, hourly employees. Ideally, you also have prior experience in healthcare, customer service, or tech. We also expect you to see problems as opportunities and are often the first person to step up, fix, and overcome them.
After your first three months, you will:
- Have completed Nurse training and demonstrated competencies in a Nurse role in a minimum 2-month ramp up period.
- Know our Care Team policies and procedures, escalation pathways, communications best practices, and documentation standards backwards and forwards, and actively share ideas on how to improve them.
- Be on the path to becoming an expert on our Thyme Care systems, tools, technology, partners, and expectations.
- Directly manage and serve as an escalation point to a team of Oncology Nurses, including but not limited to escalated member and caregiver interactions.
- Have built strong, trusting relationships with your team and leadership, where listening and empathy are the foundation for every interaction.
- Lead team meetings such as daily huddles and case conferences to drive member engagement, enable our Care Teams, and ultimately to establish targeted support plans.
- Run point on reviewing candidate profiles, updating Job Descriptions, participating in interview loops, and understanding the skills, qualities, and experience that set a candidate up for success.
- Act as an air traffic controller by monitoring assignments and ensure queues are being effectively and efficiently managed.
- Handle process and workflow escalations.
- Track nurse-driven OKRs and conduct root-cause analyses to identify gaps in knowledge, data, or procedures.
- Support our nurses to identify and prioritize member needs and assist them with care coordination and clinical support such as symptom management, nutritional support, coordinating discharge, connecting members to high quality providers, and preventing readmissions.
- Provide clinical expertise in medical, behavioral, and crisis management.
- Develop and lead oncology, care management, and triage clinical protocols and trainings for our new hire onboarding program and for ongoing nurse education.
- Monitor quality and productivity metrics of each team member, conduct clinical quality audits, and develop coaching and remediation plans accordingly.
- Provide support on building and maintaining resources and optimizing schedules and contributing to updating staffing requirements, project initiatives, and policies and procedures.
- Drive engagement and promote the Thyme Care vision and strategy.
- Be available for urgent clinical escalations and clinical consult support.
- Provide Nurse overflow, holiday, and on-call coverage support, as needed.
- Develop strategies to promote culturally competent care and close the health literacy gap.
WHAT LEADS TO SUCCESS

Additionally, you are certified as an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN), Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse (AOCN), Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Specialist (AOCNS), or Certified Case Manager (CCM).

This is a non-exempt, full time position. The pay rate for this role is $52.88/hour.
