Founded in 2019, Transmutex aims to reinvent nuclear energy/medicine/waste recycling by using an accelerator-driven system (ADS) to optimize the transmutation of long-lived nuclear waste. The innovative combination of particle accelerators and Thorium fuel based on existing long-lived radioactive waste allows to generate energy intrinsically safe and recycle the stockpile of long-lived waste in a proliferation-resistant way.
Transmutex has a digital model-centric approach to project development. The MBSE Systems Engineer will have a central role in building on top of the existing set-up and improving that strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all aspects related to MBSE, including methodology, tools, implementation of processes, modelling execution, modelling team capabilities development, processes in MBSE and integration with other company processes, ensuring tools interoperability, updating the Model Management Plan
- Conduct stakeholder and system requirements analysis, define system logical and physical architectures, and support integration and testing activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and develop system architectures.
- Perform system-level trade-off studies to optimize performance, reliability, and cost.
- Coordinate the integration of various subsystems, ensuring compliance with system requirements and interfaces.
- Identify and assess technical risks associated with system design, development, and operation.
- Communicate technical concepts, requirements, and issues clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Support and mentor others in MBSE languages, methodologies, and tools.
- Ensure system design and MBSE processes comply with industry standards, including ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288, and relevant nuclear regulatory guidelines.
Requirements
The candidate we are looking for must have:
- A university degree in engineering or physics
- Experience implementing the ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288 Systems Engineering Technical and Technical Management Processes
- Experience using a system modelling tool (CATIA Magic, Rhapsody, etc.)
- 3+ year of experience developing system designs using MBSE tools and processes
- Experience mentoring other MBSE practitioners in MBSE languages, methods and tools
- Experience with MBSE process development and deployment
- Working knowledge of MBSE-related Digital Engineering activities and implementation
Additionally, it will be an advantage if you have:
- Documented experience in Systems Engineering Management
- Experience deploying MBSE across organizations
- OMG SysML Certification at the Model Builder Fundamental level or higher
OMG UML Certification (any level) or working knowledge of UML
- Experience in the nuclear industry
