What you will do

As our Senior User Researcher- Growth and Go-To-Market (GTM) , you will pioneer our research efforts around location specific growth, playing a pivotal role in shaping our commercial strategy. You will work closely with our Sr Team Lead of User Research, to define and build out this new function within Lighthouse. Your mission will be to uncover deep market and user insights that guide our expansion into new markets and product localization, ensuring the voice of the customer is at the forefront of our growth. You will also collaborate with other UX Researchers, support multi-disciplinary product teams, and drive strategic research projects.

Where you will have impact

  • Define, plan, and execute strategic, multi-method research plans focused on Go-To-Market strategies, market validation, and localization.
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing to translate complex research findings into actionable commercial and product strategies.
  • Drive our foundational research roadmap, creating a comprehensive understanding of our users' processes, needs, and frustrations across different markets.
  • Champion the value of research across the organization, evangelizing your role and building strong relationships with commercial stakeholders.
  • Analyze and define qualitative and quantitative data, merging user insights with business metrics to provide a comprehensive view of market opportunities.
  • Facilitate workshops and strategic discussions with leadership to ensure user insights directly influence key business decisions.

About our team

You'll be joining our User Research team as a key part of the wider Product, Engineering, and Design (PED) organization. While you'll be part of the core research crew, your role is unique! Think of yourself as a bridge-builder, leading our Go-To-Market research. You'll work hand-in-hand with our Sr Team Lead of User Research, the GTM Product Manager, PED leadership, Sales Enablement and Marketing teams. A major focus will be on our independent hotels customer segment, where we're launching into new markets, but your insights will be crucial across all our products.

Who you are

Essential

  • You have significant experience in a senior, mixed-method research role (e.g., UX Research, Market Research, GTM Research, Service Design, Product Research, Product Management) within a B2B SaaS environment.
  • You have proven experience conducting Go-To-Market or market-specific localization research and can demonstrate its strategic impact.
  • You are skilled in data triangulation, comfortably blending qualitative insights with quantitative business and product data.
  • You are an entrepreneurial self-starter with a pragmatic, "get things done" attitude, capable of proactively defining research needs and owning projects from start to finish.
  • You are an exceptional communicator and stakeholder manager, with experience collaborating on cross-departmental projects in a fast-growing company.
  • You have experience evangelizing research, advocating for your role, and driving change within an organization.
  • You are fluent in both written and spoken English.
