At Truvo, we are building a fully autonomous consumer insurance broker — saving the average household hundreds of dollars on insurance while better protecting people for the worst moments in their lives. We are rewiring a trillion-dollar industry that still runs on phone calls, fax machines, and legacy carrier systems. We raised our seed, built a best-in-class AI-native broker platform with AI agents that quote, bind, and service policies autonomously, and are scaling an exceptional team.

We are looking for a Product Engineer to own how Truvo looks and feels. Insurance software is famously ugly, and we think that is a moat — the products people actually enjoy using are the ones that win. You will design and build the interfaces our customers, agents, and carrier partners live in, taking features from a rough idea to production yourself.

Your Day to Day at Truvo

  • Design and Ship: Own features end to end — from a sketch to shipped React in production, with no handoff and no spec waiting in a queue

  • Interface Craft: Set the bar for how Truvo looks and feels — our design system, motion, empty states, and the thousand small details that make software feel effortless

  • Deep Interactions: Sit with our insurance team and our customers, watch them use what you built, and rebuild it the next day

  • AI-Native Surfaces: Design the interfaces around autonomous agents — where a person steps in, what they need to see, and how to make a system that acts on its own feel trustworthy

Requirements

  • Taste: You have strong opinions about interfaces and work that shows them. Send us things you have built — we care far more about the portfolio than the resume

  • Designer and Engineer: Comfortable in Figma and in a codebase. You do not need a spec to start, and you do not need a designer to finish

  • Frontend Depth: Strong React and TypeScript. You know how to build a component library that survives contact with a growing team, and you care about performance and accessibility

  • Builder and Owner: You take ideas from zero to one quickly. You thrive in ambiguity, figure things out, and ship

  • Product Sense: You argue about what to build, not just how to build it, and you will tell us when a feature is wrong

  • Nice to Have: Design systems at scale, motion and animation, Next.js, or experience in consumer fintech or insurtech
