About the role:

The Technical Project Manager will be instrumental in XO Health’s execution of its business architecture. As a part of the Technology team, this person will work closely with Project Managers/Business Analyst, Product Managers and Software Engineers to support the success of key initiatives and product launches that informs and drives insight to ensure XO’s success. In addition to managing the more technical key initiatives, the Technical Project Manager assists in setting the tone for day-to-day inner workings of internal technical teams and clients, and ultimately ensures a positive, productive atmosphere.

In this role, you will:

  • Technical Project Documentation – Work alongside internal and potentially third party/vendor(s) technical teams orchestrating, managing, and tracking technical project documentation in JIRA and/or Confluence. Said documentation should meet any/all state, federal or certification guidelines/requirements to ensure XO’s success.
  • Collaboration - Promote an environment of collaboration and willingness to listen to build relationships with internal resources such as PMO, external partner(s) and/or potentially customer resources to foster a collaborative working environment.
  • Communication – Be responsible for reporting out technical information to non-technical team resources such as PMO and/or operations to provide deliverable updates, and potential risk.
  • Meeting Coordination – Be Responsible for coordinating and attending internal technical meetings that potentially may include third party/vendors for a flawless project execution. Assists with coordinating meetings for internal stakeholders, subject matter experts, technical team resources, if applicable and potentially external vendor/partner resources. Ensures appointed resources are available to participate in all project meetings.
  • Team & Time Management – Be responsible for effectively planning, managing, and tracking team task/work assignment(s) at a story level across multiple projects.
  • Managing Dependencies - Track project dependencies and proactively identify and mitigate potential roadblocks to ensure timely project delivery.
  • Manages Technical Risk – Be responsible for identifying, managing, documenting, and escalating technical risk(s) as early as possible upon awareness to avoid the financial risk that can sometimes exist. Responsible for participating in solutioning session(s) to resolve potential risk(s) identified and documenting the identified resolution(s).
  • Regulatory compliance - Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to healthcare plan operations and technology projects.
  • Workflow Design/Requirements – Understand workflow design and documentation and can articulate the operational workflow to technical resources to ensure deliverables meet the documented requirements. Ability to articulate if said requirements are not achievable and further discussion(s) are needed.

We’re looking for people who likely will have:

  • Recent experience in healthcare and/or life sciences leading large, complicated projects through the complete project lifecycle.
  • 5+ years’ experience as a technical project manager.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and able to implement/drive project lifecycle methodology.
  • Experience managing and reporting day-to-day technical project activities such as defining technical deliverables, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Experience with software development, management, and technical team assignment.
  • Experience with leading and writing technical documentation.
  • Experience with leading, writing, and participating in functional testing.
  • Experience with certification/accreditation such as HITRUST.
  • Experience with minimizing technical project risk and risk documentation.
  • Understands and applies leading-edge project management methodologies to drive technical deliverables.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to problem solve while demonstrating influencing skills.
  • Ability to reduce manual intervention by offering more automated suggestions/ideas.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships to gain trust and respect.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with Monday.com, preferred.
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence.

Full compensation packages are based on candidate experience and relevant certifications.
$130,000$140,000 USD
